Anna Nash Obituary

 

Anna McDowell Nash died at her home in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 50 years of age.

 

Ms. Nash served five years in the U.S. Air Force after high school with primary duty stations in Homestead, FL and Woomera, Australia. She then earned a Bachelors degree in Business and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

 

Ms. Nash was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Wiles McDowell.  She is survived by her husband, David Nash, of the home.  Other survivors include her father and wife, Eugene and Suzanne McDowell of Webster, NC; three siblings and their spouses, including Julia McDowell Townsend and husband Tony of Sylva, NC; Susan McDowell Cooper and husband Tommy of Candler, NC; and Eugene E. McDowell IV and wife Sherry of Eden, NC.  Additional survivors include uncles and aunts James and Roe Wiles of Raleigh; Bob and Pat Newton of Columbus, GA; and Betty deBrosse of Charlotte, NC, the adult children of David Nash and of Suzanne McDowell, and several nieces and nephews. 

 

A family graveside service in celebration of Ms. Nash’s life will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro, NC on Sunday, September 9, 2018.  Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to one’s favorite charity.
