Thomas Edward Lunsford, Sr.

Thomas Edward Lunsford Sr., 80, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord  Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his residence.

Thomas was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Steven Malloy and Eunice Burton Lunsford both deceased. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of The Gathering – A Christian Community.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Dollie Lunsford of the home. His children, Edward Lunsford, Jr., Burlington, Mike Lunsford (Tammy), Mebane, Sherri Reel, Burlington, and Donnie Lunsford (Michelle), Burlington.

A step daughter, Michele Rivers, Snow Camp. He had numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was also survived by a sister, Ruth Briggs, Leasburg.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Lunsford and sister Shirley Ashby.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev. John Shields. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service.
