David Marshall Love, 63, of Mebane, NC, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. He was the husband of Jane Lawrence Love of the home.
Born in Burlington, NC, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Marshall Love.
David was a graduate of Williams High School in Burlington, NC and attended Alamance Community College. He had a long successful career and served many rolls including Purchasing Manager and Inventory Manager at Copland Fabrics, Ametek, Pass & Seymour, and was currently employed with IndTool in Purchasing. He also enjoyed the relationships he was able to build with those in the community through his work with H&R Block. He attended church at The Lamb's Chapel and enjoyed his small group family there.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, he is survived by a daughter, Lindsey Love Moore, and her husband, Jeremy Moore of Raleigh, NC. He was beloved Poppy to two grandsons, Turner and Levi. David is also survived by a sister, Carol Langford, wife of the late Dr. Jerry Langford, and a sister Patti Dorsett and her husband Mike of Gibsonville, NC. He also has several loving nieces and nephews.
David was an avid UNC Tar Heel football and basketball fan and enjoyed camping and hiking. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his two best little buddies Turner and Levi. He will be missed by many.
The family will receive loved ones at the Visitation Friday, October 11th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, NC. The funeral will be held at Hawfields Presbyterian Church in Mebane Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 am. with Pastor David Ealy officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Lamb's Chapel or Hawfields Presbyterian Church.
