Helen Ruth Coggins

Mrs. Helen Ruth McCabe Coggins, 72, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday December 18, 2018 at White Oak Manor in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Rena Hudgins Moss. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She and her late husband loved to spend time outdoors, camping and fishing. She always enjoyed her times going out to eat with friends and family and she enjoyed walking around and checking out flea markets around the area. Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Dee) Coggins, of San Antonio, TX and Joseph Coggins, of Liberty, NC; grandchildren, Shawn Coggins, Ashely Coggins, Meghan Coggins, William McGuire, Mickey McGuire Jr. and Crystal Miller; great grandchildren, Jakob Miller, Kaley Miller, Tobey Wheeler, Kaitlyn McGuire, Liley McGuire, Mackenzie McGuire, Josie McGuire, Charlotte Coggins and Israel Coggins; beloved sister and brother, Barbara Duncan, of Henderson and Russell Baynes, of Bristol, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Glenn Coggins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday December 21, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Ken Smith officiating. The burial will follow at 1:30 PM on Friday following the service in the Duncan Family Cemetery at 910 Vanco Mill Rd in Henderson, NC.
