Mrs. Jean Pearson Gray, 85, of Efland, NC, passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2019 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance County and longtime resident of Orange County NC, she was the daughter of the late Lambert Eugene and Lennie Harris Pearson. Jean was a floral designer and had worked numerous years with Ausley’s Florist in Graham and was currently working with Gallery Florist in Mebane. Over the years Jean had worked with children with Autism as she was so proud of doing. She was a proud member of Efland United Methodist Church and most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone. Survivors include her daughter, Elaine Dickey Barnes and husband Pete, of Burlington and her son, Dale Dickey and wife Shelia, of Graham; her loving 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and her brother, Robert Pearson and wife Ginger, of TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Larry Dickey, Kenneth Clark and Durwood Gray and her loving son, Gregory Van Dickey. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday June 22, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the Pastor Lori Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in Efland UMC Old Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her son Dale.
