Jonathan Hardie Whitley

Jonathan Whitley, 46, passed away on January 24, 2019 at his home.  He was a graduate of Eastern Alamance and was a hardworking man. You could always find him at the Shiny Nu Carwash where he was the manager.  He was a great friend, loved a good laugh and had a big ol’ heart. 

He is survived by his parents; Earl Douglas and Catherine Whitley, his wife of 11 years, best friend and love of his life, Sarah Spence Whitley, children; Amelia Whitley, Jonathan Douglas Whitley and Whitley Riley & Greg, grandchildren; Otto and Dominik Riley, sister; Amanda Whitley Briggs & Craig, brother, Billy McCormick & Kamari, niece; Lauren Briggs, nephews; Billy McCormick Jr.,  Ben McCormick and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hardie Whitley & Gladys Whitley and his maternal grandparents John B. Lawrence & Mary Lawrence.

A celebration of life will be held at 1pm on Saturday January 26, 2019 at Hope Baptist Church in Haw River. The family will receive friends following the service. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Orange County Animal Shelter or to Hope Baptist Church in Haw River.
