Mae Goodson Suggs

Mae G. Suggs, 90 years old of Mebane, NC passed to her Heavenly home on Thursday, July 25, 2019 after months of declining health. She was born on August 22, 1928 to the late Oliver and Ariel Goodson. She was the wife of the late Andrew Lee Suggs Jr.. Mrs. Suggs was a long time member of Burlington Assembly and served for five years in the Caring Kitchen. She loved cooking especially for family and friends. Her other favorite things were fishing and tending her flowers. 
She is survived by her two sisters, Dorothy G. Gooch of Mebane, Betty G. Chance (Edgar) of Rockwell; Special step-daughter Phyllis Williams (Lynn) of Burlington and step-daughter Delores Henley of Burlington; granddaughter Crystal Hayes of Chesterfield VA, Special step-granddaughters Lisa White , Amy Allen, and Tracie Brown. Also surviving are other step-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and extended family members. Mrs. Suggs was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters and special nephew, Wayne Baker.
 

A funeral service is planned for Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Burlington Assembly of God. Officiating will be Rev. Bryan Rainbow and Rev. Howard Thompson. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday evening at McClure Funeral Home in Graham. Other times the family will be at the residence.
