Person Bryant Phillips, Sr.

Person Bryant Phillips, Sr., 68, of Elon passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at Hospice at VA Hospital in Durham. Bryant was born in Alamance County to Fulton Person Phillips and Clara Marie Ballinger Phillips both deceased. He was a retired electrical motor repairman. He also served his country in the US Navy where he received a special “Honorman” certificate at his graduation ceremony from Navy training school.

Bryant is survived by his wife; Teressa Edmonds Phillips of the home. Sons; Christopher Dale Phillips of Forrest City, NC, Brian Lee Phillips and his wife Katie of Spartanburg, SC and Person Bryant Phillips, Jr. and his wife Chrissy of Burlington.  Grandchildren; Raymond, Jacob, Dalton, Max, and Anna. Brother and sisters in law; Jim and Judy Cooper of Elon and Phalba Wilkinson of Burlington. Niece and nephew Tommy and Melanie.

In addition to his parents Bryant was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Dean Phillips and Steven Gary Phillips.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Glen Raven Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Bobby Fann, Rev. Rick Johnson and Rev. Ken Nall. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Burial with full military honors will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Alamance Memorial Park.
