Mr. Rayford Haithcock, 85, of Siler City, NC, passed away on Monday November 12, 2018 at UNC Chapel Hill. Born in Durham County, NC, he was the son of the late Vivia and Annie O ’Daniel Haithcock. He lived for the Lord and enjoyed for over 30 years preaching in local nursing homes. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Siler City and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard serving during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Ida Lee Haith Haithcock; daughters, Jeannie Duncan and husband Frank, Tammy Honeycutt and husband Tony; sons, George Haithcock and wife Ruthie, Ricky Haithcock; grandchildren, Mark and Miranda Duncan, Nicole and Richard Mayo, Luncinda and Justin Holdren, Adam and Michelle Duncan, Charles and Cindy Haithcock, Christina and Dustin Giles, Michaeland Ashlyn Haithcock, Brooks and Lisa Haithcock, Jessica and Adam Boudreault, Ashley and Thomas Lineberry; 21 loving great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Joseph Haithcock and a brother, Bill Haithcock. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday November 15, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Tony Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at McClure in Graham and other times at the residence of the family.
