Rev. Robert "Bob" K. Eldredge

GRAHAM – Robert Kenneth Eldredge, 89, went home to our Lord on March 6, 2019.  “Bob” as he was known to his friends and family, was born in Winnebago, Minnesota.  It was there he met the love of his life, Dorothy Mae Eldredge, and they enjoyed 66 wonderful years of marriage together, spreading God’s word and traveling the world.  He retired from the United States Navy after six years of service.  He continued his education graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering to work for Western Electric for 30 years.  At 55 years of age, he pursued a lifelong calling and enrolled in Seminary School at Duke University, graduating with honors.  He ministered at Clover Garden and Orange Chapel United Methodist Churches.  He is survived by his children, Tim (Michelle) Eldredge of Warm Springs, VA, Kathy (Randy) McKinney of King, NC; grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Eldredge, Matt (Stephanie) Eldredge, Josh (Michelle) Eldredge, Chase McKinney, Kellin McKinney and Joseph Moulden, Taylor (Josh) Youngen, Ashley (Cody) Marsh, and Leo Richardson.  His great-grandchildren Landan Eldredge, Wyatt Eldredge, Parker McKinney, Presley McKinney, Colton Eldredge, Jaxon Youngen, Andrew Youngen, McKenzie Youngen.  He is preceeded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Eldredge and daughter Lee Ann Eldredge. The family would like to specially thank Randy McKinney who has been Bob’s caretaker for the past two years.  Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM at McClure Funeral Home, 1030 South Main Street, Graham, NC and the Funeral will be at Orange Chapel United Methodist Church, 1634 Orange Chapel Clover Garden Rd., Chapel Hill, NC at 2:00PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.  Online condolences may be sent at www.mcclurefuneralservice.net.
