Shirley Price Smith

Mrs. Shirley Price Smith, 71, of Burlington passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, NC, She was the daughter of the late Robert Clyde Sr. and Etta Mozell Holliman Price. She loved her family as she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was a kind and caring woman who always enjoyed the company of others and putting a smile on other people’s faces. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and she had retired from GoldToe in Mebane. One thing Shirley adored more than anything was penguins. Survivors include her daughters, Susan Shephard and husband Ernest, of Burlington and Melisa Alvarez and husband Carlos, of Springboro, OH; grandchildren, Tiffany Thomas and husband, Gary, Dustin Rockwell Davis, Samantha Lynn Yokeley and husband Travis, Michaela C. Albright, Amanda G. Albright; great grandchildren, Lennox A. Thomas and Aria P. Adams; sisters, Patricia Deluca and husband Al and Sandra Hedrick; brother, Robert C. “Buddy” Price Jr. and wife Nellie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Vernon Smith; sister, Mary Frances price and her brother, Ernest Clegg Price.
