Mr. Stanley Morris Locketz, 83, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Thursday December 27, 2018 at his residence. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was the husband of the late Vivian L. Baker and the son of the late Jacob and Josephine J. Locketz. He was retired from Life of Virginia as an Insurance Agent. He was a veteran of the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 63, with many years of volunteer service. His main hobby and one of his loves was supporting Duke University Football, Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Women’s Basketball, and whatever else was being played. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Locketz, of Burlington; his son, Anthony Locketz, of the home; sister, Sharon Schantz and brother-in-law, Kenneth Schantz, both of New Kensington, PA. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Locketz. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 2, 2019 in Haw River Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the graveside service at the Cemetery.
