Thomas Harold Webster

Thomas Harold Webster passed peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2019, in Burlington, NC. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pat, and his two children, Tina Lundgren and Todd Brian Webster (Iliana), and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He graduated top of his high school in 1951. He then joined the Navy where he served four years. It was there he met Pat.

He then entered the University of Washington and graduated with a degree in accounting. Once getting his CPA certification he worked as an accountant until moving to Seattle where he spent the majority of his career (30 years) with Simpson Timber Company. 

He and Pat retired in Mebane in 1993 where his active membership at Hawfields Presbyterian Church never waned. His stubbornness, compassion and attention to details served him well as a member of the Hawfields Childcare Board, a church volunteer, a father, a grandfather, and husband. After a battle against dementia, Tom passed quietly and with all the dignity his life deserved while under Hospice care in Burlington.

A celebration of his life will be held at Hawfields Presbyterian Church in their Fellowship Hall in the form of a reception on Saturday, July 20, from 5-7 p.m. with a brief Service of Committal to conclude. Memorials should be made to Hawfields Presbyterian Childcare Development Center.
