Mr. Vincent James “Jim” Giannotti, 81, of Graham, NC, passed away on Thursday July 18, 2019 at the ARMC in Burlington. Jim was born on August 14, 1937 in Pittsburgh PA. Jim was a proud veteran of the US ARMY. Jim was also very proud of his work and his family. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed every minute he spent with them as he was their hero. He had a hand in making his family who they are today and he would always put others above himself no matter what the need may be. Whenever Jim would finish a task or a chore, he would always turn to his family and friends and tell them “Damn I’m Good”! Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly Boda Giannotti, of the home; daughters, Barbara Shevlin and husband Richard and Carolyn Brooks and husband Shaun, both of Graham and his son, James “Jim” Giannotti and wife Meredith, of Graham; his loving grandchildren, Joey (Shanna), Christopher, Nicholas (Brittany), Alyssa, Emily, Carson, and Abigail; great grandchildren, Asher, Hunter, Crispin, Declan, and Callum; sister, Dolly, a brother Alex and many loving nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his Parents, Alexander Giannotti and Mary Malucci; a special loving granddaughter, Kaitlyn Shevlin and his brothers, Ralph and Anthony. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday July 21, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Toma Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Pm on Saturday July 20, 2019 at McClure in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lung Cancer Initiative of North Carolina at 4000 Blue Ridge Rd # 170, Raleigh, NC 27612 or to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215. The family of Mr. Giannotti would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of ARMC for their love and care of Jim during his illness.
