Wilhelmina "Wilma" Miazgowicz Obituary

Mrs. Wilhelmina Brain “Wilma” Miazgowicz, 95, of Liberty, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday March 8, 2019 at her residence. A native of Passaic Co. NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Fanny Post Brain. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and homemaker. She loved the Lord and she was involved at Church as a past nursery worker, Sunday School Teacher and Deacon's wife. She attended Baptist Temple and was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Paterson, NJ. She enjoyed her sewing, crafts, and ceramics. She always looked forward to holidays and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Pardine and husband Joseph, of Hawthorne, NJ, Karen Stewart and husband John III, of Liberty, Jayne McCollum, of Jasper, FL, and Bonnie Jacobus, of Huntsville, AL; her son, Stephen Mac Gowan and wife Marie, of Liberty; and 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Mac Gowan and Joseph Miazgowicz; a son, Douglas Mac Gowan; a step son, John Mac Gowan Jr.; sisters, Jessie Zuidema, Grace Marshman, Lenora Feiler  and her brothers, Donald, Jacob and William Brain. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday March 12, 2019 at Baptist Temple in Burlington with the Reverends Don Carter and David Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:15 prior to the service on Tuesday at Baptist Temple and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baptist temple at 2224 S Anthony Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
