Carol Wicker Strickland

Carol Wicker Strickland 76, of Greensboro went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2024. Carol was born in Alamance County to Roy and Mary Greene Wicker both deceased.

She retired after 20+ years with LabCorp Quality Control in Burlington, NC. Carol was a people person and never met a stranger. She enjoyed painting (Bob Ross style) and frequently shared her paintings with family and friends. She was a true animal lover and never turned away from one in need. She also loved the outdoors, especially a good family cookout as well as reading, watching movies and spending time with her family including grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Carol is survived by her children, Donna Strickland Adams and her husband Kent, Michael Lee Strickland and Charlotte Strickland Haymore and her husband John. Her grandson Alexander Mills Adams. Sister, Shirley Wicker Isley. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her beloved son, Keith Wayne Strickland. Her former husband, Ronald Lee Strickland. Brothers, John David Wicker and Autry Lee Wicker. Two infant sisters, Priscilla and Rachel Wicker.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. The committal service will follow in Graham Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at 3848 S. Jim Minor Rd. Haw River, NC 27258 on Friday, June 14 all day- Saturday June 15, after 4 PM and all day on Sunday June 16.
