George Kwascha

George Kwascha, 68, died at home on Monday, August 16, 2021.  He is survived by his wife, Glenda; his two sisters, Alexandra Lilly of Vineland, NJ, & Elizabeth (Thomas) Gibbons of Shamong, NJ, & one nephew, Matthew Lilly of Camden, NJ.

As a graduate of Virginia Tech, George was an ardent Hokie fan. He used his degree in electrical engineering as operations supervisor at Duke Power/Energy for 40 years.

There will be 2 funeral services: the first will be held at All Saints Orthodox Church in Raleigh on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 10am; the second service will be a graveside service at 1pm at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane, NC, with a short time of visitation after the service at the gravesite.

Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets Advancement, 902 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, VA 24061, or to All Saints Orthodox Church, 520 Buck Jones Road, Raleigh, NC 27606, or to Glioblastoma Foundation, PO Box 62066, Durham, NC 27715.
