Geraldeen Rudd Warren

Geraldeen Rudd Warren, 89, of Elon, NC passed away at her residence on Monday, August 26, 2024 surrounded by her family. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the wife of the late John William Warren, daughter of Ancel G. Rudd and Carrie Solomon Rudd, both deceased. She attended Prospect Hill High School and later worked in the textile industry for 20+ years at Cone Mills. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and was a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Debbie Langley and husband Danny of Burlington, NC, Tammy James of Burlington, NC, Karla Newberry and husband Paul of Elon, NC, and Terri Wood and husband Jeff of Elon, NC; grandchildren, Kevin (Jessica) Gurganus, Micki Gurganus, Dylan (Erin) Bowes, Kaitlyn Wood, Kassidy Wood, Austin (Eliana) Wood, Levi Newberry, and Lindsey (Edgar) Newberry de Choguaj; greatgrandchildren Kaylee and William Gurganus and Maya and Mila Choguaj; one sister, Kitten Riddle of Graham, NC and one brother-in-law, Coy Horton of Timberlake, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Emery (Hazel) Rudd, Mae (Landon) Charlton, Floyd Rudd, Hassel (Lucille) Rudd, Velma Horton, and Larry Rudd. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Terri Wood, at 3571 Osceola Road, Elon NC. The funeral service will be conducted at Bethel United Methodist Church in Prospect Hill, NC on Friday August 30th, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2461 Ridgeville Road Prospect Hill, NC 27314.
