Mr. Glenn Norris Williams, 76, of Graham went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. As a native of Alamance County, he was born February 22, 1947 to Charlie Glenn Williams and Christine Johnson Williams.
Norris graduated from Southern Alamance High School and served with the U.S. Marine Corp. He studied accounting and retired from Dean Patterson Construction Co. after 41 years as office manager.
A lifelong farmer, he approached farming and his career with meticulous planning and a commitment to excellence. By example, he taught his children the value of hard work to achieve life goals. He loved the Lord, and listening to Charles Stanley’s sermons. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Norris is survived by his children: Stephen Williams, Lisa Smith, Crystal Perry (Jenni), Laurie Newton (Robert), and Angela Williams. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Darius, Gracie (Hunter), Kaila, Faith, Robbie, Logan, Conner, Macie, Kaley, Dylan and Abby and two great grandchildren, Presley and Cameron. He is survived by sisters, Linda Williams and Ann Andrews (Keith), and several nieces and nephews.
Norris enjoyed fishing with his children, playing a basketball game of HORSE, and beating his friends and children in a hand of cards. He will be remembered for his hard work, and love for the Lord.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 2:00-3:00 pm with the service following at 3:00 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 5043 Mt. Olive Church Rd, Pittsboro, NC. The family will receive friends and family following the burial in the fellowship hall.
