Mickey Joe Mcdaniel

Mickey Joe McDaniel, a lifelong resident of Mebane, NC died on March 22, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and love.

Mickey graduated from Mebane High School before studying at High Point College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

He was a hard worker holding many positions including history teacher, driver’s education teacher, football official, and banker, until he started his own successful business, McDaniel Realty and Mortgage Brokerage.

Mickey was also an active member of the community, participating in the Mebane Exchange Club and serving on the City of Mebane Planning Board.  During his real estate career, he served as President of Alamance-Burlington Association of Realtors.

Mickey was an avid golfer and UNC TarHeel fan. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by many.  His greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Pam R. McDaniel, son, Keith McDaniel (MaryAnn), stepdaughters, Amy Dunn (Jeff), Kelly Belcher (Brian) and grandchildren, Delaney McDaniel, Braden McDaniel, Madison Dunn, Colton Belcher and Katie Belcher.

A service to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Ken Tilley, with the burial to follow at Hebron Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home and at other times at his residence in Mebane.
