Aimee Lafrance Krans

Mrs. Aimee LaFrance Krans 49, of Mebane, NC passed away on March 13, 2024 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill following a brief illness. A native of LaPorte Co. Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Charles LaFrance and her mother who survives, Lindia DePoy LaFrance. Proud graduate of Purdue University in 1996 with a Bachelor Degree in Health Promotion. She later obtained a Masters in Human Resources from DeVry University in 2008. Thus a lifelong career in HR and a reputation at Junction on 70 as someone not to mess with.

Aimee was the definition of a sports mom as she never missed a practice or a game of any sport to support her girls. She was an avid supporter of the Eastern Alamance all sports foundation (Boosters Club). She was an active member of the Mebane Women’s Club and she always supported her community and she loved the people of Mebane. She and her family and friends enjoyed supporting the Downtown Mebane area in all capacities and she always enjoyed crazy roadside attractions and Murder She Wrote and The Golden Girls. She loved her coworkers as they were family to her and she was one who always put others needs above her own as she was willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Groundhog’s Day was her favorite holiday as it was just minutes after the birth of her youngest daughter.

She will forever be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend but her greatest achievement was raising her three girls. Survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, Steven Krans; her three loving girls, Eliza Marie Krans, Emilyn Noelle Krans, and Etienne Jaye Krans; her mother, Lindia DePoy LaFrance; a brother, Jon-Paul LaFrance and wife Brandi, asister in law, Cathy LaFrance; her nieces and nephews, Isaac, Lucie, Xavier, and Genevieve;  and her special dogs, Lola, Frank The Tank, and Daisy. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas LaFrance.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the Pastor Sammy Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 Until 7:00 PM on Tuesday March 19, 2024 at McClure in Mebane and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mebane Women’s Club or to the Education fund for her daughters still in school.
