Albert Lee "Rusty" Thomspon

HAW RIVER - Mr. Albert Lee "Rusty" Thompson Jr., 84, of 301 W. Main Street, Passed away at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the Hospice Home of Burlington.Born in Alamance County, he retired from Carolina-Cook Hosiery and after his retirement worked for American Security Company.Surviving family members include his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Susie Wagner Thompson; sons, David Thompson and wife Elaine, of Burlington, Todd Thompson and wife Cathy, of Graham, and Dale Thompson and wife, Belinda, of Burlington; a daughter, Debra Small and husband, Leslie, of Burlington; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leatrice Cox of Hickory and Marjorie Childress of Burlington. Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert Lee Thompson Sr. and Amelia Sweets ThompsonThe family will receive friends at the McClure Funeral Home, 1030 South Main Street, Graham, on Thursday evening, Sept. 5, 2013, from 6 until 8 and at other times at the residence.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice Home of Burlington, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
