Alice Irene (Mangun) Geise

Mrs. Alice Irene Mangun Geise, 81, of Graham, NC passed away on December 9, 2023, at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Northeastern, OH, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur Mangun and Bertha Louise Palmer Mangun. Alice had retired from LabCorp with 17 ½ years of service and had spent 7 years doing missionary work in Haiti. She was a member of Bible Wesleyan Church in Snow Camp where she volunteered as a tutor of which she was so very proud. Over the years, she had also volunteered as a tutor at E.M. Holt Elementary School and Southern Middle School. She was also a part of the Auxiliary Department at ARMC in Burlington, NC making various things, such as toy octopuses and care buddy outfits to give to young patients. She will forever be remembered for loving her family and always putting the needs of others above her own. Her kind heart and love for others will always be treasured. Surviving are her siblings, Judy Dendler and husband Clyde, Nancy Mann, David Mangun, and wife Jan; her stepchildren, Mike Geise and wife Nola, Kathy Yoder, and husband Rev. Ron, and Jim Geise and wife Margaret; her niece that helped look after her, Hannah Embler, and husband Gary, and many other loving family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Geise; a brother in law, Lee Mann, and an infant brother. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday December 13, 2023, at the Bible Wesleyan Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church with Rev. Brian Covert officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Hanoverton, OH. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
