Allene Johnson Mcpherson

Allene Johnson McPherson 92, of Graham, NC passed away on September 2, 2022 at her residence. A native of Chatham Co. NC she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Cheek Johnson. Allene enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends. She was retired from Amtek Electric Motors with numerous years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she loved her Church and Church family. Over the years she had volunteered on numerous committees and charities at the church and had served as chair of the Church Trustees. She was a lady who didn’t want recognition or praise for her dedication to the church. Throughout the years you would never see Allene without her husband of 64 years, Willie, as they always did everything together, but nothing put a smile on her face like her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Willie Vernon McPherson; her children, Jackie Holt and husband Bobby and Samuel Vernon McPherson and wife Lesa; her grandchildren, Ashley Holt Ramey and husband Chris, Janna Holt and fiancé Josh Kegley, and Jeremy McPherson and wife Ashley; great grandchildren, Evan McKennon, Lilly Ramey, Taj Kegley, Ty Kegley, Brayden Kegley, Bentley McPherson, Charlotte McPherson, and Austin Tyler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Notie Johnson Coble, her brothers, Cletus, Loy, and Diffie Johnson and her step mother, Mattie Johnson. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday September 5, 2022 at Salem United Methodist Church with the Pastor Ben Wolf officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service on Monday in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem UMC Memorial Cemetery Fund at 4924 Salem Church Rd. Haw River, NC 27258. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
