Alton Theodore Barber

On March 30th of 2020, Alton Theodore Barber took his last breath on Earth. He has joined his wife of 37 years, Ann Nix Barber as well as parents Garland “Buck” and Alese Barber, in-laws Fred and Nellie Nix, brothers J.W. Johnson, Garland Barber Jr and Larry Barber, sister Judy Barber, and infant grandson Gabriel “Gabe” Dawson. He is survived by second wife, Arline F Barber; children Anita and Rob Broome IV and Alton “Ted” Jr and Tina Barber; grandchildren Nellie “Nichole” and Taylor Dawson, Jessica Bowers and Darryl Herring, Alton“Buck” Barber III, and Zoe Rowan Barber; and great grandchildren Meredith and McKenna Dawson. Sisters, Mae Lamm and Debbie Page. Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday August 7th, 2021 at Brightwood Christian Church, 300 Brightwood Church Road, Gibsonville, NC 27249. Celebration in Sanctuary followed by graveside service pending weather.
