GRAHAM - Mr. Alvis Lee Adams, 69, of 6966 South, NC Highway 87, Graham, NC died 7:33 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at his home after 6 months of failing health. He was born in Alamance County, NC to late John Treely Adams and Dorothy Gertrude Richmond Adams, was employed with Carolina Meadows Retirement Center and was formerly employed with the City of Burlington Police Department. He is survived by a brother Bobby Adams and wife Martha, sisters, Thelma Wardand husband Horace and Nadine A. Bowden and husband Brack; a very special friend, Hellen Ellington; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death was a brother John T. Adams Jr. and sister, Otelier A. Davis Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, in the Moore's Chapel Cemetery officiated by Mr. Mike Bowden. The family will receive friends at the home of Bobby and Martha Adams 6956 South NC Highway 87, Graham, NC. Mr. Adams's body will remain at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service 1030 South Main Street, Graham, NC until taken to the cemetery for the service.
