Amy Whittington Hall, age 54, of Elon, North Carolina, passed away on June 14, 2026, at UNC Hospital after a long courageous battle with a rare cancer. Amy was born on June 13, 1972, in Alamance County, North Carolina, and she lived a life marked by faith, love, kindness, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She graduated from Alamance Christian School in 1990 and carried the values of her upbringing with her throughout her life. A devoted Christian, Amy grew up attending Beacon Baptist Church and always found comfort and joy in being part of her church family. Amy was currently working as a Project Administration Manager with Branch Civil, where she loved her job and deeply valued her work family. She was known for her dedication, her strong work ethic, and the genuine care she showed to those around her. Her presence brought warmth and encouragement, and she made lasting connections wherever she went. She was a proud and gifted singer who loved art and laughter. Amy had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that could brighten any room. She loved people deeply and never met a stranger. Her kindness came naturally, and she had a way of making others feel welcomed, seen, and appreciated. Those who knew her will remember her for her generous heart, her joyful personality, and the light she brought into everyday moments. Amy is survived by her loving husband, Michael S. Hall; her son, Taylor Whittington and his wife, Kaytee; her daughter, A’leah Whittington; her granddaughter, Addie Whittington; her mother, Ann Whittington; her sister, Lisa Johnson and her husband, Mike; and her aunt and uncles, David and Martha Johnson and Mike Whittington. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and church family members who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin D. Whittington Jr., and her grandmother, Elaine Johnson. Amy’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain and suffering, and resting in the presence of her Lord. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday June 19, 2026, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Bob LaTour officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 12:00 prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beacon Baptist Church (Missons Fund) at 1622 Kirkpatrick Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
