Anne Vaughn Allen

Mrs. Anne Vaughn Allen, 88, of Sellars Mill Rd. Burlington, NC, passed away on Saturday February 20, 2016 at her residence. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Alfonza and Texie Davis Vaughn. Survivors include her daughter, Kim Wilson, of Burlington; son, Todd Allen and wife Kathy, of Snow Camp; grandchildren, Mindy Wilson, of Asheville, NC, Melissa Wilson, of Burlington, and Blair Allen, of Chapel Hill; great grandson, Ty, of Burlington, the son of Melissa; sister in law, Margaret Holt Vaughn, and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry “Jay” Allen; brothers, Benny Vaughn and George Vaughn; sisters, Betty Parks and Mabel Davis. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at the Cane Creek Friends Meeting Church Cemetery with the Rev. Andrew Needham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Monday February 22, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family.
