Ashton Joseph Vieau

November 7, 2003 — April 25, 2024

Mebane

Ashton Joseph Vieau, 20 of Mebane, left this world on April 25, 2024 as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born November 7, 2003 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Todd and Jennifer (Turner) Vieau.  After moving here from Summerville, South Carolina, he attended Eastern Alamance High School and graduated in 2022. He worked at Mellow Mushroom and enrolled at Alamance Community College where he was studying welding.  Welding was Ashton’s passion and he excelled.  He was hired by Piedmont Steel as a welder and quickly became a worker that could be counted on.   He received multiple promotions and his plan after college was to move out West and work on the pipeline.  Ashton loved fishing, hunting, golf, singing country music, video games, riding his motorcycle and spending time with our beloved dog, Kimber.  Ashton never met a stranger and befriended people everywhere he went.  He loved his family and friends fiercely.  He also enjoyed watching his brother, Christian, play baseball. Ashton was such a giving and kind soul even in death he was able to donate his tissues to help save others.

Ashton is survived by his parents, Todd and Jennifer Vieau of Mebane and his younger brother, Christian. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Jack and Robin Turner of Evington, VA, and his paternal grandparents Joseph and Donna (Cindy) Eelman of Charleston, SC. He leaves behind his Aunt and Uncles and 1st cousins, Aaron and Karen Turner (Andrew) and Nathan and Paige Turner (Cole and Callen). He is also survived by several great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McClure Funeral Service in Mebane. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 2:00pm. The family will receive guests after the service in the visitation room. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Alamance Community College Welding Scholarship.  Memorials may be made to the Alamance Community College Foundation at P.O. Box 8000, Graham, NC 27253. Donors should list "Ashton Vieau memorial" in the memo line. Alternatively, donations can be made on line here: https://givebutter.com/ACCF-01. There is a field to indicate the purpose of the donation.
