Augusta Bartis Warner

Augusta Bartis Warner passed away On Saturday, March 31, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was the wife of Louis Warner, daughter of Angie and Jean Bartis, sister of Nicolette Bartis, daughter-in-law of Scott and Dee Warner, and granddaughter of Jane Johnson. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Cindy Cook (Jimmy), MJ Hook (Nate), Warren Hook (Bonnie), and Burton Hook.

Augusta was a graduate of Eastern Alamance High School and Rice University in Houston. Her passion for books lead to a career at the Brazos Bookstore. We would be remiss not to mention that she had her own personal library at home, where she read with her favorite cat, Meem.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 1:30-3:00pm at the Mebane United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 7, 2018. The service will be held at 3:00pm on the same day.

The family will also receive friends after the service at the home of Angie and Jean Bartis until 7:00pm at 1004 Millstone Lane in Mebane.
