Avelino Salas Garcia

Avelino Salas Garcia, 77, passed away on June 3, 2021 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.  Avelino was born in Nayarit, México and worked in the textile industry.

Survivors include his wife, Maria G. Salas; daughter, Yanet Salas; grandchildren, Cynthia Salas, Karina Zuñiga, Claudia Salas, Adrian Zuñiga; great grandchildren, Ivan Loera Salas and Abel Loera Salas; brothers, Jerónimo Salas Garcia and Jose Carmen Salas Garcia; sisters; Ma. Trinidad Salas Garcia and Ma. Antonia Salas Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos Salas Magallanes † and Gregoria Garcia Ramos † and his son Sergio Salas †.

The family will hold visitation at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane on Thursday June 10, 2021 from 4-7.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm on Friday June 11, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Graham.  Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens.
