Avenell W. Stout

Avenell Wood Stout, 94, of Graham died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at her home. She was a native of Alamance, County, a homemaker and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross & Ava Johnson Wood and her husband of 49 years, Marvin E. Stout.

She is survived by her sons, Marvin Eugene “Gene” Stout, Jr. of the home and William Jesse “Bill” Stout and wife Becky of Graham; 3 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

A service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Bethel United Methodist Church by Pastor Lu Ann Charlton and Pastor Garrett Rea. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 before the service.
