Baby Girl Berklee Layne Wiant entered this world and left it on September 24, 2025. Born at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Berklee's time on earth was fleeting, yet her spirit was a beacon of hope and strength, touching the hearts of all who anticipated her arrival. Berklee was the cherished daughter of Alissa Lechelle Wiant, and the adored younger sister to Aubree and Makenzee Evans. She was the beloved granddaughter of Rebecca Howell, and Mark and Mistel Wiant. Her extended family included her cousin Nataleigh Small, and her aunts Marah Howell and Stephanie Cales. Though her physical presence was momentary, the love she received from her family was boundless and will endure forever. In her brief journey, Berklee was preceded in death by her step-grandfather Mark Howell, her aunt Cheylan Wiant, and her cousin Tamber Morris. Her family finds solace in their Christian faith, believing that Berklee is now cradled in the arms of her aunt Cheylan and watched over by angels in heaven. Berklee's life, though a hard-fought battle from the start, surpassed expectations and exemplified the resilience of the human spirit. Her family will forever remember her as a fighter who, against all odds, graced them with her presence longer than they dared hope. The love they hold for Berklee is immeasurable and will remain a guiding light in their lives. As a family united in faith, they find comfort in the words of the scripture, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28). This verse encapsulates the profound belief that Berklee's life, however brief, had a divine purpose and that her legacy will continue to inspire and bring hope to those she left behind. Berklee Layne Wiant's story is a testament to the enduring strength of love and the belief that each life, no matter how short, is precious and meaningful. Her memory will be cherished and honored by all who were ready to welcome her with open arms. Berklee's spirit will forever be a part of the fabric of her family's lives, and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date. McClure Funeral Home in Mebane is assisting the family.
