Barbara Ann (Garrison) Lowe

Barbara Garrison Lowe of Elon, formerly of Graham, passed away at the Hospice Home on Tuesday November 24th, 2020. A native of Alamance County, she was born January 18, 1933 to the late Charlie Garrison and the late Mary Love.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham.

Barbara was a woman of strong faith and a faithful servant of her Lord. Her selflessness and serving nature were demonstrated by caring for both parents and her sister, Scottie, until their deaths. “Meme”, as she was called by Will & Sam, moved to Elon in 2010 to be their next door neighbor, and could always be counted on to shower them with love and fix anything they wanted to eat at a moment’s notice. Barbara was also known as “Granny Flash” to her grandsons Chris and Greg, due to her ability to be there in a flash whenever needed. She will be missed by all more than words can say.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Bunting and husband Wayne of Burlington, son Ed Lowe and wife Beth of Elon, grandchildren Chris Bunting and wife Sheila, Greg Bunting, Will Lowe, Sam Lowe, and great-grandchildren Gilleyn Bunting and Nicholas Bunting.

The family would like to thank everyone at Brookedale for the love and care Barbara was given during her time there, as well as the staff at Hospice Home who cared for her in her last weeks.

There will be a private family burial due to the ongoing pandemic. Memorials may be made to Hospice (AuthoraCare – 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington) or First Baptist Church in Graham (224 N Main Street). McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
