Barry Nelson Farrell

Barry Nelson Farrell, 56, of Burlington died November 16, 2017 at the Hospice Home. Born May 29, 1961 in New Mexico, Barry was the son of Kendall Tyree and Alice Jean Dickens Farrell, both of whom preceded him in death. Barry was retired from Burlington Industries, where he worked as a machine operator. He was a member of Carolina Christian Church and was a former trustee there. Barry served as a fire fighter for Faucett Township. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Barry is survived by his wife, Mary Mitchell Farrell; daughter, Elizabeth Farrell; son, Kendall Farrell; step-son Christopher Cook; brother, Renny Farrell; step-grandchildren, Kenneth Cook and Steven Henderson; and also by nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Farrell. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm Saturday at McClure Funeral Home in Graham. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Carolina Christian Church with Pastor Mark Mitchell presiding. Interment will follow in Carolina Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Mitchell, Darrell Walker, Mike Johnson, Jeff Gammon, Jeff Crowder and David Smith.
