Benjamin Lee Allen, lovingly known as “Jamen”, of Youngsville, North Carolina, passed away in his home on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the age of 33. Born on November 9, 1991, Jamen brought joy, laughter, and a competitive spirit into the lives of everyone who knew him. Jamen had a deep love for family and was a dedicated and loyal friend. A curious mind and creative spirit, his interests were many. His taste in music was as diverse and unique as he was. Jamen had an ever-growing collection of sneakers and jerseys, each one a reflection of his personality and style. He grew up an avid NC State and Carolina Panthers fan and carried that loyalty with him throughout his life. One of his favorite weekly traditions was working out with his Uncle Dave and the other “Clydesdales” every Monday during heavy lift day at the Riley gym — a time filled with strength, sweat, and friendly banter. He was also deeply appreciated by his coworkers at CBRE in Mebane, NC, where he showed kindness and devotion making a lasting impact. Jamen will be remembered for his free spirit, compassionate soul, infectious laugh and the way he made everyone around him feel seen and valued. His absence leaves a hole in many hearts. He will be deeply missed. Jamen was preceded in death by his beloved (Nana) JoAnn Thompson and his (Grandmother) Kay Allen and (Grandfather) Simeon Lee Allen. He is survived by his mother, Karen Journell-Dotson and his step-father Scott Dotson both of Bean Station, TN and his father, Nathan Allen of Youngsville, NC. Roger Journell Sr. of Roanoke, Va, Keith Journell of Vinton, Va., Erin & Brad Moock (McKenzie, Maddie, & Macy) of Vinton, Va, Kimberly Ashley of Graham, Lyndsey and Tyler Payne (Cohen and Fischer) of Swansboro, NC, Kristen and Dave Riley of Mebane, Jordan Mann of Charlotte, Jacob and Elyssa Mann of Charlotte, Hayden Mann of Burlington, Evan Mann of Burlington, Tripp and Dixon Riley of Mebane, Noel and Sandy Allen of Raleigh, Brie Allen and Thomas Jarvis (Noel and Robin) of Kentucky, Jeremy and Kat Allen (Emerson, Lilah, Hayes) of Raleigh, NC.
