Bessie Brown Collins, 86, of Graham passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at Alamance Health Care of Burlington. Bessie was born in Durham County to James Floyd and Nellie Marie Brown both deceased. She was wife to Rufus Glenn “Buddy” Collins, Sr. also deceased. She was retired from Dixie Yarns and was a member of Cornerstone Community Church.

She is survived by her: sons, Rufus Glenn Collins, Jr. (Janet) of Graham and Randy Ray Collins (Linda Greene) of Oak Ridge, NC. Grandchildren, Dustin, Dalton, and Dakota Collins. Great Grandchildren, Natalie and Payne Collins.  Sister, Lula Brooks of Athens, GA. Special niece, Rita Johnson and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents Bessie was preceded in death by her sisters, Inez Johnson, Mae Brown, Loretta Ashley, Kathleen Jones, and her twin sister Tessie Collins.

Brother, Buddy Brown.

A funeral service will be Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Cornerstone Community Church. Officiating will be Darrell Kidd. Burial will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
