Bettye Lou Combs

GRAHAM - Bettye Lou Ray Combs, 76, of 2303 Amity Court, Graham, N.C. 27253, went to be with the Lord at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013.She was the daughter of late June Wilson Ray and late Ada Lillian King Ray, and wife of the late Elmer Lee Combs.She was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Burlington, as well as a loving, Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, friend, and Private Sitter.She leaves behind daughters, Louanne Thompson and June Thomas (Mark), all of Graham, Cynthia Coble (friend, J.D.) of Burlington, Terrie Ragan (Ronnie) of Chapel Hill; son, Todd Combs (Trish) of Boone, N.C.; grandchildren, T.J. (Sandie), Katherine (Gene), Adam (Jessica), Tiffany (Cliff), Ron (Jennifer), Cassie, Ashlee, Josh; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kayla, Shayln, Adam Jr., Ariana, Sophia, Marcus, Trent, Jacob, Joseph and Ella; sisters, Pat Futz (Watson) of Winston-Salem, Carol Kiger (Buck) of Jonesville, N.C.; extended family, Buck, Nichole, Jenna, Daniel, Adam Garrison, Della, Audrey, Joyce, Darlene, Jenelle.In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a granddog, Dozer.Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug.1, 2013 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, N.C. and at other times at the residence.The funeral service will be held at First Wesleyan Church of Burlington at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 with the Pastor Dennis Boone and Pastor Buck Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
