Mrs. Billie "Ma-Maw" Roberson Linens, 95, passed away on June 19, 2015, her 95th birthday, at Edgewood Place in Burlington. She was married to the late James G. Linens Sr. for 55 years. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Graham, where she participated in the XYZ Choir, Young at Heart, the Doris Crissman Class and the United Methodist Women. Her family was her life. She enjoyed spending her time crocheting, gardening and loved to cook. She was well known for her chocolate meringue pies. Survivors include her sons; Jerry Linens (Phyllis), Jimmy Linens (Millicent), daughters; Jo Brantley (Craig) and Kathy Moore (Ray) all of Graham, a sister Nell Clapp originally of Kimesville, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Other than her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Senora Smith and Thomas Lee Roberson, two brothers and four sisters. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Graham with the Rev. G. Kevin Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday June 23, 2015 in the fellowship hall of the church. At other times they will be at her residence. Interment will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Edgewood Place for their care and compassion they gave to Ma-Maw during her stay there.
