Billy Joe Combs

GRAHAM - Mr. Billy Joe Combs, 53, born April 1, 1960, entered the gates of heaven for a joyous reunion March 16, 2014. He met the love of his life Betsy Ferrell at a church service in 1986, married that beautiful dark haired girl the same year, and he left this world during her Sunday morning service. He was so blessed with her. He was born to Marshall Lee and Evelyn Creed Combs in Wilkes County, NC. He worked as a Certified Dietary Manager as long as his health permitted it. He was a faithful and active member in the Gibsonville Church of God.Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Betsy Combs, his mother-in-law Mary Ferrell, brother Randy Lee Combs and wife Jane, numerous loving in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He gave us all so much joy and laughter. Lilly, Charlie, and Daisy were his adored pets.A celebration of his life will begin with the family receiving friends on Wednesday, March 19 from 6-8 p.m. at McClure Funeral Service in Graham, 1030 S. Main St, Graham, NC and other times at their residence. A service will be conducted on Thursday, March 20 at 11 a.m. at Gibsonville Church of God, 1106 East Joyner St., Gibsonville, NC. Conducting the service will be Dr. Russell Morris and the Rev. Ruby Davis. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or gifts of love may be sent to the Gibsonville Church of God in memory of Bill.
