Mr. Billy Gaddy, 68, of Snow Camp, NC, passed away on Monday February 19, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Dillon County, SC, he was the son of the late Lemmie and Gertrude Hyatt Gaddy. Billy was known for being the best daddy ever as he loved his family very much. He was a member of Towe Memorial Baptist Church where he was always helping the Church from the landscaping, putting in the steeple to the Church bells. For 50 years, he owned and operated Modern Tree Service and Landscaping which he would always work hard and do anything to help others. He had a love for Chevrolet classic cars which his favorite car was the Chevelle’s among his collection. He enjoyed his old George Jones music and other artist of that generation. Survivors include his daughters, Faye Mayes, of Snow Camp, Gina Field, of Archdale, and Shannon Faucette and husband Wesley, of Snow Camp; grandchildren, Will, Carson, and Jacob Mayes, Tristan and Jared Field, and Taylor and Tyler Faucette; sister, Pat Baez and brothers, Frank, Jack, and Joe Gaddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Taylor Gaddy; sisters, Barbara Baker, Ida Mae Hayes, and Mildred ‘Pee Wee” Cook and brothers, Tom and Lamar Gaddy. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday February 24, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Jim Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday February 23, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Towe Memorial Baptist Church at 6268 Abernathy Road Whitsett, NC 27377. The family of Billy would like to invite everyone to bring their classic cars so that Billy may have a Parade of classics cars one more time.
