Billy Russell Williams, 71, of Mebane passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Billy was born in Orange County. He worked for many years with White’s Furniture in Mebane. He was a member of Oakgrove Baptist Church. Billy was a regular visitor at the Buckhorn Flea Market and loved professional wrestling and looking after his parakeets. Billy is survived by his aunt, Beatrice Flynn of Greensboro. Three nephews and many cousins. Guardian, Suellyn Dalton of Burlington. Caregivers, Andrea Lehman of Burlington; Sylvia Snipes of Mebane and Colleen Lanigan of Carboro. He was preceded in death by: parents, Hayes “Mutt” Williams and Ailene Foust Williams. Brother, Alvin Williams. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be the Reverend Mike Morrison. Burial will follow in Oakgrove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane from 1 PM until 3 PM Saturday prior to the service.
