Bobbie Thompson Teague

Mrs. Bobbie Thompson Teague 90, of Snow Camp passed away on November 9, 2022 at White Oak Manor in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Paul Thompson and Clara Hall Winslow. Bobbie was a graduate of Elon University and was a fourth-grade teacher at Newlin Elementary for many years before retiring. Bobbie wrote children’s books over the years and had two of them published which she was so very proud. She and her late husband loved to travel together when he played baseball and they were actually married in Legion Baseball Field in Wilmington. Bobbie was a member of Cane Creek Friends Meeting where she loved her Church, Church Family and the Church History. She spent a many hours writing and organizing the history of Cane Creek Friends and making the historical room at the church displayed for everyone to learn. She also volunteered for many years at the Sword of Peace in Snow Camp and loved to greet and see friends from the community. She will be forever remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, but her grandchildren were her joy and the reasons for her smiles. Survivors include her daughters, Paula Teague (Steve Dutton) and Carolyn Teague; her son, Jimmy Teague (Ann); her loving grandchildren, Kelly, Erik, Elaine, Jason and Zachary; her great grandchildren, Macon, Clayton, and Asa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dwight Eugene “Red” Teague and her brother, Jimmy Thompson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at Cane Creek Friends Meeting in Snow Camp with Burial to follow alongside her husband in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Church and following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
