Bobby Allen Conner, 85, of Graham, NC was welcomed into heaven on March 30, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 28, 1940, in Person County, North Carolina, Bobby was the son of the late Wardell Linnie Conner and Annie Bertha Briggs Conner. He shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Edith Wilson Conner, who preceded him in death in 2021.

Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960.

Following his service, he spent much of his career as a dedicated truck driver. He also worked for Glen Raven Mills and Burlington Industries.

A man of deep faith, Bobby was a devoted member of Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and treasurer. He was known for his fun-loving spirit and his unwavering love for his family, always giving his whole heart to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Rosemary Compton Porter; granddaughter, Carrie Dora Eastwood; seven brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by his brother, Ernest Conner (Barbara); his son, Ross Wayne Compton (Donna); his daughters, Rita Anne Crabtree (Fred) and Phyllis Conner; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Bobby’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will be cherished by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends from 10am - 11am  on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.  The funeral service will follow at 11am on Thursday in the McClure Funeral Chapel.  Burial will take place in Alamance Memorial Park.
