Bonnie Lee (Dunbar) Michael

Mrs. Bonnie Lee Dunbar Michael, 70, of Burlington, NC, passed away on February 09, 2023. She was the daughter of the late John Dunbar Sr. and Norma Jean Dunbar. Bonnie spent her working years as a caregiver and was a mother to everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Shore and Deloris Mallory; her brothers, Loren Dunbar, Delbert Dunbar, and John Dunbar; her grandson, Jace Gibbs-Wright; and her special son, James Christopher.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Walter Michael, her daughters, Norma Wray (Roy) and Corienna Gibbs; her sons, Allen Michael and Patrick Gibbs; her step-daughter, Sandy Blood; her grandchildren, Josh Wray, Brandon Wray, Chris Allen, Josh Allen, Kimberly Michael, Destiny Robinson, Kyndale Gibbs, and Aleighia Gibbs; her step-grandchildren, Bailey Blood-Dillion, Ravynn Foster, and Jessey Blood; her sisters, Pearl McDonald, Penny Curry, Laura Johnson, and Mary Mercado; her brother, Willie Dunbar; her special son, Mark Christopher; and multiple great grandchildren.

Our beloved wife and mother is now rejoicing with her Heavenly Father and is reunited with her loved ones that have gone on before her.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Baynes Baptist Church in Burlington.
