On Saturday, December 21st, 2024, our precious mother's battle with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) ended, and she went home to be with our Savior. She knew when diagnosed that this form of cancer was aggressive and brutal. Defying the odds several times during her battle, she showed her cancer that aggressive and brutal was no match for her determination and strength. She persisted and fought extensively to the very end, knowing her reward would be being in the presence of Jesus.

Mama's story began on Thursday, June 5th, 1947. She was the first of six children born to the late James Ronald Faulk & Lannie Miller Faulk in Marion County, Mullins S.C., where she became a big sister to her twin siblings, Julia Ellen Faulk Gilliam (Wallace)and James Ricky Faulk (Debbie). Her parents moved their family to NC in 1952, where their family continued to grow, gradually welcoming her other three siblings, Billy Joe Faulk (Jean), Ronnie Bryon Faulk (deceased), and Mary Beth Faulk Moore (Terry). Her love for each of them was immense, and she considered herself blessed by her connection with them. Mama often expressed that she and her siblings were honored by the privilege of growing up in a Christian home and knowing Jesus Christ.

Mama graduated from Eastern High School with honors, and in 1964, she married her high school sweetheart Earl "Britt" Davis Jr. They celebrated 56 wonderful years together before Daddy passed away in 2020. Mama made numerous friends with coworkers in her workforce career, with earlier years working in Social Services and as Clerk of Court in her later years. Many have kept in touch and enjoyed lasting friendships over the years.

Mama and Daddy built a family together and raised their three children in a warm, secure, Christian home with abundant love and comfort. Left to cherish their memory are their children, Cynthia "Cindy" Kaye Davis Rogers (Jeff), Susan "Caroline" Davis Couch (Pete), and Charles "Chuck" Britt Davis (Lori). The three of us will cling to the memories of our family and thank God for the gift of such loving, caring, and giving parents.

Mama is survived by her mother, Lannie Miller Faulk, her children, and four siblings. She is also survived by her pride and joy that she considered jewels, her grandchildren: Andrew Britt Rogers (Tiffany), Sarah Rogers Murray (Justin), Matthew Edward Couch (Taylor), Jacob Tyler Couch, Brody Carson Davis, and Luke Christopher Davis. Her gemstones were the great-grandchildren Annistyn Kaye Oliver, Beckham Michael Murray, Britt Walker Murray, Ellbie Lakelyn Couch, River Brayann Couch, Jett Harrison Couch, and Millie Carver Couch, sister-in-law, Jane Davis Flowers (Phil), brother-in-law, Bobby Davis (Linda), and numerous nieces and nephews she adored. She is preceded in death by her husband, Britt Davis, grandson David R. Rogers, father James R. Faulk, and brother Ronnie B. Faulk.

Mama's love for her family and friends was unconditional. She showed the deepest affection for everyone she met along life's journey. She felt privileged to take on many names: Mama, Ma, mammaw, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, as well as "Mama Bonnie," which she became to many due to the warm, nurturing way that she took anyone in and poured love and prayer into them. Mama was always devoted to her people, showing up to special occasions and family events and cheering on the sidelines no matter the extent, challenge, or sacrifice it took to get there. She always showed up for the ones she loved. We can't express how grateful we were to have had her heart, to know her love, and to have had her strength at the core of our family. Mama's warm smile, contagious laugh, selfless love, unique sense of humor, and bold and determined strength will be carried with us for the rest of our days. She leaves this earth taking a part of our hearts with her, but we will find peace in the beautiful memories she has stamped in our lives, knowing we'll rejoice with her again.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mama's healthcare providers, including Authora Care (Hospice) and Compass Rehabilitation, and for each of the thoughts and prayers from everyone who has lifted our family.

You never know when someone's story will end, but we will never stop telling hers.
