Sara Callie Peace Hadley, 79, formerly of Snow Camp, N.C., died at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. She was a native of Chatham County, and later resided in Alamance County, where she worked with her husband and son as a dairy farmer and homemaker. She attended South Fork Friends Church, where she was a lifelong member of the William Penn Sunday School Class, Circle of Hope Missionary Society, the choir, and Ministry and Council. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Clarkson L. Hadley; parents, Clarence Lorenzo Peace and Georgia Hearn Peace; and son, Clarkson L. Hadley Jr. She is survived by her children, Leonard Hadley and William and Brenda Hadley, all of Snow Camp, and Joan and Andy Helton of Burlington; grandchildren, Charles and Andrew Hadley and Emily and Macy Helton; sisters, Virginia Rives of Goldston and Frankie Greene of Pittsboro; brothers, Thomas Peace of Pittsboro and Roy Peace of Charlotte; brothers-in-law, Russell Hadley and Sammy McKinney; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Hadley and Phyllis Wilson and husband Harry. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2015, at South Fork Friends Church, with the Rev. Andrew Needham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, N.C. Saturday, May 2, 2015, from 5 until 7 p.m. and at other times at the residence of William Hadley, 8875 Bethel-South Fork Road, Snow Camp. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for the love and care shown to Mrs. Hadley.
