Calvin "Butch" Eugene Easter

Mr. Calvin Eugene “Butch” Easter, 69, passed away on September 13, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Durham. He was born on August 31, 1947 in Welch, WV to Eugene Easter and Helen Toth. He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He was employed at C.T. Nassau Tape and Ticking in Alamance. Calvin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was a generous, hardworking and caring man who will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include his wife Veronica “Vickie” Easter; daughters, Christy Rogers-Alvarado and husband Jose, of Burlington, Tracy Hunter and husband Mike, of Graham and Jackie Reynolds, of Burlington; sister, Dreama Easter, of TN; his girls, Kaylee ‘Puddin” Rogers, Molly and Rachel Barrett; grandchildren, Ashley, David, Katie, and Audrey Garton and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Eddie Easter and Lou Salyer and grandson Dylan Alvarado. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday September 16, 2016 at the Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church with the Pastor Jimmy Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Thursday September 15, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the residence of the family.
