Carean Taylor Neal

Carean Taylor Neal, age 64, of Burlington, passed away on October 7, 2022 at the AuthoraCare Hospice House in Burlington NC after his second battle with stage 4 cancer.  Carean was born to the late William E. Neal and Emma Lee Neal on 11/19/1957 in Durham, NC. who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Carolyn Neal. Carean is survived by a daughter and son, Krystal Neal of Winston Salem, Carean Nicholus Neal and his girlfriend, Tasha Williamson of Burlington; 2 special cousins, Tina and Jackson Goodwine; two grandchildren, Kahlani and Kenton Neal, who he adored; his brother and sister: Ron and Charlotte Farrow, of Graham, NC.; and a host of church family and friends who he loved dearly. Carean was a student at Graham High School.  He was a 3A State Champion and was inducted into the Graham High School Hall of Fame.  Carean continued his school career at Wingate College and NC state University.  Carean worked on contract for the U.S. Army and at Alamance County Recreation Department.  He attended Graham Full Gospel Tabernacle in Graham, NC. where he worked to help keep the weeds cut, reminded the church that Jesus never left him, and enjoyed working with the children.  He had a great love for his Pastors, Kevin Barbour and David Willoughby.  Carean was a giving and loving person who helped many in need. He worked with the Special Olympics and was a stand in father for many young people.  One of the special friends he checked in on often was Mrs. Marie Ward. The family wants to thank all the doctors and nurses of UNC, Chapel Hill, NC. and the Hospice Care Center for their kind compassionate care.  Carean Neal wanted to extend his appreciation to Ken and Cindy Davis for all they have done and Ron and Charlotte Farrow for standing by his side through it all.   Funeral services will be held on October 15, 2022 at The Graham Full Gospel Tabernacle.  Visitation to begin at 11:45- 1pm and funeral service following.  The address is 109 Webster Road, Graham, NC.  Burial will follow in Snow Hill Church Cemetery located at 3947 NC 119, Mebane, NC.  Services will be officiated by Pastor Kevin Barbour and David Willoughby.  Pallbearers include Maurice Collins, Bernard Johnson, Jimmy Lambert, Erwin Brown, Darryl Solomon, Hal Palkyous, and Tony Stewart. Until we meet again brother, enjoy singing with the Saints around the throne of God.
