Carol Ann DiLello

Carol Ann (DeMartini) DiLello, 83, of Graham, NC, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on October 6, 2026. Carol was born on January 21, 1943, in Yonkers, New York, to Joseph and Emma DeMartini.

Carol graduated from St. Barnabas Catholic High School in The Bronx, New York, in 1960, where she was a member of the cheerleading team, Junior Red Cross, student council, and athletic association. Carol began working for International Business Machines (IBM) in New York City. She thoroughly enjoyed her time working in Manhattan, as well as attending Broadway shows, having dinner in Little Italy, and experiencing all the other things New York City had to offer. 

She married the love of her life, Joseph Carl DiLello, on October 11, 1964. Together, they raised three sons, and in August of 1977, they moved their family from Yonkers, New York, to Graham, North Carolina. Shortly after the move, Carol began working at the Mitchell M. McEntire Law Offices, where she worked for over 25 years until her retirement. Carol continued her education after moving to North Carolina at Greensboro College and Alamance Community College.

After raising three sons and attending hundreds of sporting events, Carol was blessed with seven granddaughters. During her free time, Carol enjoyed attending Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Graham, NC, traveling with her family, cooking large five-star Sunday dinners, bowling, listening to Frank Sinatra, and spending time with her granddaughters. Carol made every holiday special, but Christmas was her time to shine. Carol will be remembered for her loving personality, warm smile, and the devoted wife, mother, and grandmother she was.

Carol is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe. She is also survived by her sons, Joseph, Anthony and Robert, and daughters-in-law, Diane, Julie, and Dawn. In addition, Carol is survived by her seven granddaughters, Ashley, Brianna, Taylor and her husband, Kaleb, Emma Kate, Elayna Jo, Campbell, and Maggie. Carol is also survived by her lifelong best friend and sister-in-law, Marie Birrittella, and her close friend and cousin, Gail Colabello, as well as many other loving family members and friends who shared many fond memories with Carol.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma DeMartini, and brothers-in-law, Vincent DiLello and Michael Birrittella.

The DiLello family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at AuthoraCare and Carol’s caregiver, Rhonda Furr, for the compassion they showed Carol.

The family will be receiving guests at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026.
